Adding new categories

You can add new categories when assigning categories to transactions or when creating budgets. Just type the category and then select Create category: category name from the drop-down



You can also add categories on the Categories page. This is useful if you want to add many categories at once.

Steps to add categories on the Categories page


1. Go to the Settings menu and select Categories




2. Click Add new in the toolbar




3. 
In the dialog box that appears, type in the categories you want to add on each line or select a template of categories from the drop-down list, which can also be edited before saving, use (-) to add sub-categories




4. Once you have entered all the categories that you want to add, click the Add new categories button




5. The categories have now been added to your PocketSmith account
